Week at a Glance - October 1-7, 2023

TAKOMA PARK, MD – After a week of road games, WAU women's soccer enters this week 3-3, and men's soccer enters this week 7-3-1. The Shock will host two home games at the WAU Turf Field, and men's and women's cross-country will run locally, traveling to Baltimore, MD.

 

Women's soccer will host Trinity Washington tonight, October 2, at 7:00 p.m.

 

The WAU men's and women's cross-country team will run locally at Goucher College in Baltimore, MD, on Friday, October 6. The women will begin at 2:00 p.m., and the men will start at 2:45 p.m.

 

Mne's soccer will host conference mate Fisher College on Saturday, October 7, at 8:00 p.m.

The WAU Athletic Department is excited to announce that it has partnered with HomeTown Ticketing, Inc. to move all ticketing operations online for the 2023-2024 athletics season.

 

To purchase home game tickets, fans can visit the WAU Game Ticketing website (wauathletics.com/ticketing). Once you buy a ticket, you can print or save it to your mobile device. To gain entry to the event, you must be able to provide either the printed ticket or show the ticket on your mobile device.

 

 

 

WAU Students, Faculty, and staff will be free and sent season passes via email. You will need to show your WAU ID at the entrance to the stadium to gain access to home games for the 2023-2024 season.

Ticket Pricing Structure:

General Admissions (5 & Older) - $8 (through link), $10 (Cash at the gate/door)

Children (5 & Under) - Free

Severe Weather Policies

In the event of severe weather at one of our outdoor facilities, a public address announcement will be made, and WAU athletics staff will provide all participants and spectators with further instructions.

 

Lightning: If lightning is present, play will be halted for 30 minutes from the most recent strike detected. All spectators must leave the seating area of any outdoor venue. It is recommended that all spectators seek shelter in the nearest building or inside personal vehicles.
